Birdlife of Cameroon

I've been trying to catch photos of some of the amazing birds that we see around the hospital every day. These little fellas are everywhere, with a beautiful shiny blue plumage, but they're really hard to get hold of because they're hopping around all the time:


The hospital site itself resounds with the chirps of these fantastic yellow weaver birds, busy building (weaving, I guess) amazing nests in the trees:



And I was walking round the site this morning when this huge vulture came winging past and landed in a tree:


I'm confident of seeing more though because next week I'm being taken to see the local abattoir (where meat is strung up to bleed to comply with Halal standards): should be quite a few there!
