Around the house

OK, I should be able to get up a few posts over the next couple of days: thanks for your patience.

Things are carrying on as normal: Sarah is working hard in theatre (she's promised to do a post soon with a 'day-in-the-life' of a surgeon here: so keep holding your breath!); and I spend most of my days visiting 'les malades' in the hospital.

We've actually got an amazing place to live here: alongside the hospital there is a small 'compound' of missionary houses built since the foundation of the hospital in the early 1990s.

In the bathroom, we've even got hot water in the shower, although you have to be careful with the electric heater if you want to avoid an electric shock! :)




All in all, an amazing place - and here's the surgeon herself relaxing after a hard day 'au bloc'!
